As we are on our way out of town, we caught a flat tire. With no spare that fit in sight, we are forced to call a tow truck. After one aggravation after another, we realize the tow truck got canceled and wouldn’t be arriving. Calling once more got another tow truck on the way. We received an updated ETA and realize, the truck is an hour or more away.

Currently, we are waiting on the side the interstate at night with the entire family with us. Part of me wants to cry while another part of me feels so guilty for delaying the trip for all that were involved. Without ever realizing what was happening, I utter a quick prayer in the car. Nothing fancy. Just a simple quick one minute prayer.

As soon as I say Amen, a Good Samaritan stops. After he takes a measurement of our tire, he leaves and returns with a spare that fit my car! Ultimately, we cancel the tow truck, and continue in our journey.

Calling this Good Samaritan our “Unexpected Angel.”

As if this isn’t enough, this unexpected angel finds again. Upon stopping for fuel and to check the air pressure in this spare, our unexpected angel goes beyond. He proceeds to give us a second spare! Wow!

This is an absolute God designed encounter with an unexpected angel.

We now have two free spares. Right after praying with our unexpected angel, we travel towards our destination. Traveling almost 400 miles on this spare tire.

Continually thanking God for this unexpected blessing on vacation, we are in awe at the way everything unfolded. There is NO denying God’s hand in our situation. Divine encounters are happening all the time, we just need to recognize them.

I truly believe that we had encountered an angel that night and I am extremely grateful.
