When I used to say yes to everything, it led me to feeling overcommitted and overwhelmed. Prioritizing what matters most set me free!

By agreeing to every volunteer sign-up, last-minute need, every “godly” role, and every opportunity that made me feel needed, I got distracted by good things. I lost sight of my real priorities, what God called me to do.

While on the outside I looked like I had it all together and was productive, I didn’t feel that way. Inwardly, I was tired, overwhelmed, unsure of my true purpose and struggling. I was running on empty. Can you relate to this season of busyness?

What I didn’t realize at the time was that saying yes to everything was actually saying no. It meant “No” to my clarity, my peace, and the specific purpose God had designed just for me. It was time to make space for what mattered and refocus my priorities.

It wasn’t until I started spending quiet time in the Word that I began to ask, “God, what is my calling?” “What do you want me to do?” I wanted to refocus. I wanted intentional living not just routine.

He didn’t answer me all at once. But over time, through Scripture and prayer, He made it clear. When you know your God-given calling, you stop striving for every assignment—and start walking confidently in your purpose.
